Tom Dixon is renowned for designing extraordinary objects for everyday use. A widely celebrated global force in interior design, the brand’s selection of furniture, tableware, lighting and fragrance is instantly recognizable for their sculptural qualities and unique finishes. The brand has recently found a permanent home for its rapidly expanding catalogue in the heart of SoHo, New York. The LuxPad takes a look around…
The new shop at 25 Greene Street offers a twin floor retail store setting as well as a bespoke service center dedicated to trade. Formally a chandelier shop, the new hub inhabits a generous 6,700 square feet and takes inspiration from the new London headquarters in Kings Cross.
Surrounded by influencers in the design and fashion industry, this permanent move puts the Tom Dixon brand in a melting pot of creative commerce to showcase their ever-growing range and the services of their interior, product and branding design consultancy, Design Research Studio.
Over the years the New York hub has evolved from a local office to a three-story showroom, and with each move came a new and bigger identity. This physical expansion has been indicative of an evolution in the brand’s identity as a whole; the New York City store becomes a true epicentre for the brand’s approach to design and is one of three hubs to open, alongside London and Hong Kong, making the reach of the Tom Dixon brand span multiple continents.
