With a love for all things fresh and minimalist, Amanda Start from the Online Stylist was the perfect choice of ambassador for A by Amara’s newly launched Greenhouse trend which is part of the new SS18 collection. Looking to make some spring updates to her home and inspired by the bright and airy design of the Greenhouse trend, Amanda pulled together some of the key pieces to refresh her home for the new season. The LuxPad takes a look at how she styled the trend throughout her living space and her top tips for updating the home in a flash…
Declutter in Style
Spring is the season to start afresh and now is the time to clear out all of that clutter which inevitably accumulates over the winter period. The New Year saw Amanda work through her home to have a clear out of her wardrobe and give the kitchen a complete refurb. Carrying onto the living room this month, she utilised the laidback grey felt baskets to store all of those bits and bobs you want to hand whilst relaxing on the sofa but you don’t want on display. From TV remotes, to books and slippers, all your home comforts can be placed in easy reach of the sofa without your interior style suffering.
Add Some Greenery
Nothing says spring quite like letting the outdoors in, which is what the Greenhouse trend is all about. The trend is full of planters, pots and vases which are just calling out for fresh sprays of spring blooms and are perfect for filling your home with greenery. Amanda has used the Marwood vase and Jamboree pot to house fresh flowers for her spring update which thanks to their subtle golden hue, add a hint of luxe to the space too.
Keep it Cosy
Whilst the warmer weather is (hopefully) just around the corner and you are busy decluttering your home, it’s important to still retain the cosy elements of your interior to help you relax and unwind. Make sure you have candles ready for cosy nights in like Amanda has with the Marwood candle holders and the marble tealight holders to keep those still chilly nights warm and inviting. Cosy cushions and throws should also be kept on hand, so swap out any wintry designs for lighter yet still snuggly colors and materials.
