The LuxPad explores one of their most recently completed projects which is oozing in luxury Spanish interior design style…
This project was for a luxury villa in Marbella and Bernard Interiors were commissioned to design and manage the redevelopment of the home away from home for the private client. The primary focus of the brief was to create a warm and comfortable family residence with a contemporary European edge. The client’s love of color also features heavily throughout the scheme and has been subtly implemented across every room. Combined with luxurious neutrals, the scheme creates calming environment that encourages relaxation and family down time.
One of the biggest elements of the redesign was to knock down the existing kitchen walls to create an open plan layout connecting the kitchen with the main lounge, dining room and outside terrace. This new layout makes the most of the villa’s outdoor spaces with eyes drawn to the sunny terrace from all aspects of the ground floor living areas. Creating wow factor on the outdoor terrace was also paramount for Bernard Interiors and because of this there is perfect synergy between the indoors and outdoor living areas.
The terrace offers hints of Spanish interior design combined with sumptuously modern and neutral elements. The plush seating areas have been created to enjoy the villa’s outdoor space with the sofas looking out into the garden and Mediterranean Sea beyond. The seating area has been upholstered in bespoke Hermes fabric and accessories which mirror the interior scheme perfectly, creating a cohesive look throughout.
Each of the Marbella villa’s four bedrooms feature their own en suites and dressing rooms/areas making them ideal for hosting friends and family, as entertaining was a key priority for the client. The owner also required a functional workspace which didn’t disrupt from the overall style of the home, so Bernard Interiors made clever use of extra hallway space to create this area. Creating a recessed desk with concealed cupboards, the walls are adorned with lacquered wood and in-laid with cream leather, with the office space leading up the hallway to an equally cleverly concealed comms cupboard where the homes’ AV equipment is hidden behind an antique brass mirror.
