Recognized as the most celebrated hotel in Texas, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek is a world-renowned nine-story hotel that is considered a Dallas icon by locals and visitors alike. Situated on a 4.63-acre site on a terraced hill at the corner of Turtle Creek Boulevard, The LuxPad takes a look around the hotel which offers impeccable service and a world-class luxury experience…
Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek is steeped in Dallas history. Originally a private residence, much of the mansion seen today was constructed in the early 1920s after a fire destroyed the original mansion building. The mansion was known as one of the finest homes in Dallas, a mainstay of the social scene and throughout the years it has hosted notable guests such as President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Tennessee Williams.
In 1979 Rosewood Property Company purchased the mansion and embarked on the first major renovation project. Today, meticulously restored interiors, hand-carved fireplaces, marble floors and stained-glass windows preserve the estate’s original grandeur.
The 143 rooms and suites at Rosewood Mansion pay tribute to the mansion’s history of attention to detail. The decor and color scheme reflect the hotel’s residential sensibilities and comfortably chic atmosphere, while thoughtful amenities ensure every need is fulfilled.
The Terrace Suites offer between 1,175 to 1,350 sq. ft. of interior space and are positioned on the top floor of the hotel. Each suite offers an outstanding terrace space for lounging or entertaining, and include a residential living area, dining room with seating for six, fully equipped kitchen, king-size bed, powder room and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and soaking tub.
Rivolta Carmignani Italian bed linens adorn the room and 100% cotton oversized bath linens and deluxe waffle robes ensure ultimate luxury in the bathroom. All natural bath, hair and skincare amenities are created exclusively for the mansion by Natura Bissé.
The Mansion Restaurant is widely regarded as Dallas’ best restaurant for memorable dining. Delighting guests for more than 35 years, the mansion’s talented culinary team provides guests with the most inviting dining experience in Texas. Highlighted by sleek furnishings and vibrant artwork by Texas artists, the dining room features modern lighting and honey-colored walls to create a warm ambience. On the veranda, celadon fabrics complement Palladian windows with views of the picturesque terrace which is complete with two fireplaces, making it the ideal spot for al fresco dining.
For cocktails, comfort cuisine and a stylish atmosphere, guests can indulge in The Mansion Bar and enjoy its signature ambience. Featuring cognac-colored leather walls and a blend of traditional and contemporary hunting-themed artwork, The Mansion Bar offers an extensive list of wines and speciality cocktails to suit all tastes.
