A new home and lifestyle concept from L’Objet has opened in New York’s West Village. The official opening was on September 15th, and the brand new space is already set to become the NYC destination for luxury home and lifestyle connoisseurs.
Showcasing the brand’s beautiful artisanal gifts, tabletop items, soft furnishings and glassware the new store is a treasure trove of style. All the items have been handpicked by founder and creative director, Elad Yifrach, who created L’Objet in 2004.
As a former interior designer, Elad Yifrach has always had a discerning eye for style and decadent taste. When he could not find the fine tabletop decorations he wished to source for his clients he decided to take matters into his own hands. Inspired by his world travels and artisan craftsmanship he began designing products himself and L’Objet was born.
The first bricks and mortar location in Manhattan, the new Bleecker Street store is in an ideal location. Talking to Wallpaper magazine Elad explained ‘’I wanted to connect with the customer base in a way that is different than our uptown point of sales and presenting a different point of view.’
L’Objet invites customers to come inside and experience a sense of space inspired by art & travel. Just like Elad was inspired by his global experience to create many of the designs, the store itself has worldwide influences evident in its interior. Elad goes on to say ‘Behind every object, there is a story…’ and the unique home fragrances and covetable objects imbue a sense of the best wanderlust.
The 1,200-sq-ft space carries objects that have the same sensibility as the brand, alongside L’Objet’s range of fine tabletop items and home fragrances. There is an entire area dedicated to the L’Objet apothecary range, which have been developed by brand perfumer Yann Vasnie. Alongside the home fragrances themselves the scents are also available in hand and body washes and lotions.
Despite a timeless quality that resonates with Old World charm, the L’Objet collections are always something entirely new – graceful, detailed and rich in history, but thoroughly modern. Their new Manhattan hub showcases this brand ethos perfectly and is the ideal place to peruse their latest offerings.
