The British Fashion Council have just announced that Karl Lagerfeld is to be honored with the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ at the 2015 British Fashion Awards. He will be presented with the prestigious title at the event which will take place on the 23rd November at London’s Coliseum.
Karl Lagerfeld has remained a formidable force in the fashion industry for over fifty years, and this award will honor his unrivalled contribution to the fashion industry. After taking the helm at several iconic houses, from Chloé to Fendi, his eye for detail has proved transferable. His work at Chanel has made him a worldwide icon, with a tenure of over thirty years that has seen his unique vision transform the classic French house into a global superbrand. Lagerfeld’s influence has also helped launch several supermodel careers, redefined fashion advertising and laid down the blueprint of how to revive a fashion brand, completely revolutionizing the fashion industry as a whole.
