Studio LIFE.STYLE. is a multifaceted commercial and residential design firm based in West Hollywood, CA. Founder, Shannon, and Principal Designer, Brittany, talk to The LuxPad about their California-inspired interior style and their favorite spots in West Hollywood…
Tell us about Studio LIFE.STYLE., how was the company founded?
At the helm is Shannon Wollack, Founder and Partner, and Brittany Zwickl, Partner and Principal Designer. Together, Shannon and Brittany have created beautiful residential dwellings, ranging in size and style to meet specific needs of each client, constantly exceeding expectations and pushing their own boundaries as designers. The talented design team at Studio LIFE.STYLE. excels at creating a luxurious and polished aesthetic, perfectly balanced with welcoming comfort and functionality.
Studio LIFE.STYLE. was founded by Shannon but was soon joined by Brittany when the two of them met on a project they were both working on.
How would you describe your interior style?
Our style is refined while still reflecting a casual and inviting feel. We like to incorporate a bit of the California aesthetic, playing off of the indoors and outdoors, along with a funk or edge somewhere in our projects.
Where do you find your inspiration?
With strong Los Angeles roots, our design is heavily influenced by the natural and “California cool” elements that can be found around us.
What has been your favourite project to date?
That’s hard to say. It’s like picking your favorite child!
What is your idea of a perfect day in West Hollywood? Do you have any favourite spots you can tell us about?
We always start out at one of our favorite coffee shops, which include The Assembly (which is our office neighbor), Alfred Coffee, and Verve. Considering it’s always sunny in Los Angeles, we love being outdoors and walking to some local shops and vendors since we are in the heart of the design district. When pulling for clients we always stop in Serena & Lily, The Line, Woven, and of course, the Pacific Design Center. There are also tons of great places to eat, some of our favorites are Cecconi’s, Catch LA, Au Fudge, and Zinque for a quick bite or lunch meeting.
Do you have any tips for those looking to break into the interior design industry?
Try to stay aware of design trends and be able to curate and cultivate your own personal style. It is important for you to be able to clearly define your vision since you want to make sure your design intent is developed at the start with any client.
You have two weeks to take your dream vacation, where do you go?
Europe for sure. Amazing architecture, food and hands down some of the best designed hotels. Oh ya, and shopping!
What does 2017 hold for STUDIO LIFE.STYLE.?
A big residential design project in La Quinta! Install is beginning of 2017 and we have a new exciting commercial project with E! We start production right after the new year.
