Geraldine Tan, Interior Blogger at Little Big Bell
“I love Instagram as it allows me to develop my creativity from styling, practise my photography and most of all, connect with a like minded creative community.”
Kate Arends, Wit & Delight
“What I love about Instagram is the opportunity to receive realtime feedback and interact with people who share my design aesthetic. I’m constantly searching for inspiration, and Instagram is a constant source of content that piques my curiosity.”
Angela Kounnas, AMK Design
“Instagram allows me to be part of an online community that encourages innovation, creativity and a fresh perspective on all things design. For me, inspiration comes in many forms, sharing is one of them.”
Orlando Soria, Hommemaker
“I love Instagram because it’s the easiest way to share design inspiration and beautiful photography with friends and strangers alike. My goal is to showcase interior design and lifestyle imagery that’s aspirational without being pretentious or alienating, so I rely on humour to make it a little more relatable and fun. I’m not a perfect cookie-cutter person so I don’t want my feed to be that either.”
Ugh. I was gone for so long, you guys. It was nice checking out Vancouver, celebrating a very special Ormomdo birthday in Santa Rosa, going to Boston for literally like one minute, and drinking and eating way too much in Napa with a bunch of rich people. But at the end of the day I was all, I MISS BABEOUARD AND ORCONDO. So I'm like the happiest person ever to be home right now. I thought my happiness could not get anymore explosive until this giant piece of art by @jaimederringer for @minted showed up on my doorstep (JAIME YES I KNOW I HUNG IT SIDEWAYS I'M SORRY OKAY). Even next to this stupid ugly loveseat that's missing its upper cushions (they're being remade at the upholsterer THIS VERY MOMENT), this art is makeout-worthy. Let this be a lesson to us that travel is a lovely endeavor BUT DON'T EVER LET ANYTHING COME BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR ORCONDO. #victim #orCONDO #mintedart
Grace Bonney, Design Sponge
“Instagram feels to me like what blogging used to be 10 years ago. It’s this wild, untamed place for artists, designers, makers and creatives of all types to get their work and their talent in front of millions of interested people. I love feeling like at any moment we’ll get to meet the next great creative in our community.”
Jaime Derringer, Design Milk
“We love Instagram because it allows us to quickly share great design with our readers who are on the go, even when we’re not on the go! We also love how it’s become a chronicle of our every day design finds.”
Regina Bonnici, Bonni Whyte Interiors
“Creative and visual both personally and professionally, Instagram introduced an exciting new dimension to our boutique Interior Design Studio. It has naturally become a pivotal part of Bonni Whyte Interiors.
Being such a vast and dynamic design resource, you’ll often find us navigating strategically through the ‘Instaworld’, hunting new artists, designs, materials etc, so we can best service our clients, having explored all avenues.
It has served as a valuable business development and professional networking tool. We’ve had the pleasure of establishing authentic relationships with new clients, industry peers, creatives and media publications. We have executed interesting and innovative residential design and commercial styling projects, collaborations with designers and received recognition in publications which we have long respected.
Finally, we have made some great friends. The power of Instagram; I love it!”
Emily Henderson, Style by Emily Henderson
“For those of you not on Instagram, you are missing out on what I’d say is the most fun of all the social medias on the interweb machine. It’s a beautiful stream of pictures of what someone is doing, filtered all pretty, and then shared with a caption describing it. Basically we can now safely stalk all of our favorite people (and ex-boyfriends) from the comfort of our own homes.”
