Baobab Collection finds unlimited inspiration through the wonders of the world. Since its inception in 2005, the brand has created candles that tell a story: the name, the perfume and the materials used are all closely linked to create some of the best-loved luxury home fragrances. For its most recent collection, Baobab Collection has collaborated with Breast Cancer International Group (BIG) to produce an exclusive range of scented candles called “Women”. The LuxPad finds out more…
With this collection Baobab Collection shows its love for women and vows to support a cause that affects so many: breast cancer research. The idea for the exclusive candle was first established in 2015 when a representative from the BIG association against breast cancer approached Corinne Bensahel, Creative Director at Baobab Collection. “A few months after my appointment as creative and marketing director at Baobab Collection, a bright young woman walks into my office with one of our small candles delicately wrapped in pink ribbon. She explains that she represents the BIG association against breast cancer and that she would love for us to work on a collaborative project. At our first meeting the timing wasn’t right and the ribbon’s colour was too pink, but I told her that I would do it at a later date.”
“The “Women” candle began to take form in my head. I wanted the female symbol to become a graphic print and for the pink to look more like the color my mother used to wear. She also lost her life to breast cancer. All is suggested in this object, and its powdered scent leaves no one indifferent. It is not our intention for this project to end and hope that it will find an audience that will vow to support it as I vowed to support Mathilde during our initial encounter in May 2015” – Corinne Bensahel, Creative Director.
Combining notes of magnolia, rose & musk, the Women candle produces a delicate powdered rose scent that permeates throughout the home. Presented in an elegant glass vessel, it is adorned in a graphic printed pattern inspired by the symbol of femininity and is enhanced with a gold rim to ensure it is never forgotten just how precious women are.
