This festive season it’s all about pared back Scandi chic with a hint of Christmas sparkle for interiors. Classic monochrome gets a holiday makeover with metallic details bringing the glamour to this quintessentially Scandi style. Think light, bright and airy atmospheres with cosy additions, taking inspiration from nature and the glitz of Christmas time.

White is the main backdrop for our Scandi Christmas style interior, but any light neutral colour can work. Contrast is important, and ideally this is black details against white but again can be any dark shade on a light neutral background, e.g. dark brown against a light warm beige. This will break up the monochrome styling without overpowering, and will also sit well with added metallic details.

Again look for metallic details for that Christmas sparkle, and bring this flare to your dining table too. Gold and silver can work together, and can be in keeping with a pared back style as long as patterns and colours are kept otherwise simple.

Pattern can be incorporated in the Scandi Christmas style but hold back on many metallic details if you want to add a statement pattern to ensure an elegant look prevails. Geometric patterns in monochrome will bring an added depth to the space, and these can be mixed and layered if the palette is kept subtle.
