Set in the heart of Kensington, in one St Edward’s most recent developments, CID Intrieur were instructed to design a luxury contemporary show apartment to reflect the lifestyle of the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. CID Intrieur projects express a high note of classic and timeless beauty whilst being comfortable and easy to live in. The overall style of the development is contemporary and it was the aim of designers Danielle Marsh and Federica Gorni to create a rich, luxurious show home interior to complement this. Great attention has been given throughout the apartment, with a rich use of textures, layering patterns and materials to give depth to the modern building.
Blues and greys are the lead colour tones throughout the apartment injecting brass accents to bring warmth. Specially commissioned chandeliers and joinery throughout the apartment bring style and support the luxurious lifestyle of Kensington. The living room is the heart of the apartment, and the layout reflect its function with plenty of space distributed between living and dining. The entrance facing the bespoke joinery with the stunning crystal rock chandelier creates a focal point in the room, that is enhanced with the luxurious marble patterned rug with metallic inserts. The blue and grey tonal palette has been used in here as well, to confirm the classic elegance of the apartment.
Another key element of show home interiors is the Master Bedroom. For this project we added bespoke full height headboard with chevron upholstered panels. Colours were selected in neutral again to recreate a classical, endless elegance, with soft fur and precious fabrics for the bed cushions. Each guest bedroom has been designed to be charming and styled following the contemporary mood. With a mix of the neutral palette and blue and copper tones, headboards with abstract patterns and feature ceiling lights these two rooms create the perfect place to host guests. The designers wanted to encapsulate the concept behind the whole apartment, which was a combination of luxury while creating an apartment potential buyers could imagine living in themselves.
Every texture, artwork, accessory and bed linin is inviting, luxurious and matched to the look. Colours were kept neutral to carry on the feeling of a timeless, elegant design with key colours being picked up through accessories and artwork. The apartment has the immeasurable benefit of a private balcony offering breathtaking views across London. Translating the use of textures and patterns, this spills out onto the terrace, pulling the whole design together to feel harmonious throughout. The neutral colours ground the contemporary building whilst the hammered metals, silks and furniture in velvets emphasis the comfort of this apartment.
