I bought this plant box after buying the Ferm toolbox and seeing how beautiful the finish is, plus the solid construction. I then understood the price point and could see why they cost more than similar items. It's a very matte, saturated black that looks especially beautiful around wood. It has a quiet, refined presence. I put it in our front hallway which is narrow and it's the perfect size, a bit shorter than a console table. I placed a box inside to hide keys and added a round brass planter that I filled with artificial plants from Amara, it has transformed our hallway. I got rid of our old console table because my husband was dumping all kinds of stuff on it. This took care of that and it looks fantastic!
