The Amara Interior Blog Awards
The IBA Story
The Amara Interior Blog Awards celebrates the most respected, and talented bloggers in the interior design industry. At Amara we believe that these individuals are a crucial part of the interior design world. Having worked closely with bloggers over the years, in 2014 the Interior Blog Awards were born to give this vibrant community of creatives the recognition they deserve.
The Amara Interior Blog Awards is globally recognised as the leading interior blogging event. The awards consist of a series of phases across a three month period; nominations, voting and shortlisting before the winner is announced at an annual awards ceremony attended by the shortlisters, sponsors, judges and the IBA team. This year the Amara Interior Blog Awards were bigger and better than ever before.
The 2019 ceremony was hosted by Sophie Robinson and Kate Watson-Smyth, who together host The Great Indoors podcast which celebrates all things interiors and are on a mission to make interior design accessible and achievable for everybody. Held at the spectacular One Marylebone, it was certainly a night to remember.
The last Amara Interior Blog Awards ceremony saw 21 bloggers across the UK and the rest of the world crowned the leaders in their interiors field. From creative crafty blogs to super sleek company blogs, our 2019 winners are the best of the best. Read all about them on our winner’s page here.
We Love Home, Best Interior Lifestyle Blog 2019
"Winning an Amara award has been the highlight of my blogging career! As a full time interior stylist, I started my blog as a side hustle blogging about my home and what I get up to. Blogging about what I'm passionate about has opened up my world. I've made a ton of new friends, connect with fabulous brands and generally love life more despite how much hard work it is. Having my blog recognised by my peers and my being voted for my by followers is a massive complement. YAY! We did it" - Maxine Brady, Founder.
Fox Hollow Style, Best Use of Instagram 2019
"Winning the award has changed everything for me already. The night at the awards was inspiring, joyous and celebratory. Then to win my category, that felt like a pivotal moment for me and Fox Hollow Style. The very next day, while I was still in London, I was getting offers of work. I think that's a very real reflection of how the Amara IBAs are seen in the industry. I have no doubt that things will only grow from here, and I'll have the confidence now to only do what feels right for the brand" - Bronagh Fleming.
Karama by Hoda, Best Company Blog 2019
"At times being a creative entrepreneur can be challenging and a lonely road, but award ceremonies like Amara IBAs remind you that you are not alone in your creative journey. Winning this award and being recognized by my creative peers encourages me to never stop following my dreams. Working hard and having fun doing it will pay off! I will be on cloud nine from now on!" - Hoda Jaludi, Founder.
Rachel Usher Interior Design, Best Interior Designer 2019
"I still can’t believe that we won at the Amara IBAs 2019! It goes without saying, that to be crowned a winner is something of immense pride for us, what a privilege to be invited to stand alongside the most beautiful minds, talented writers, bloggers and social media influencers. To be judged against this pool of brilliance and to win the award is simply amazing." - Rachel Usher, Founder.
Grace In My Space, Best Home Styling Blog 2019
"Winning the Amara IBA is such an honor. Knowing that my readers appreciate the work I put into my blog is so rewarding. It is an immense blessing to be able to inspire others to create havens in their homes and I'm so grateful to be recognized this year by Amara." - Sarah Symonds, Founder.
91 Magazine, Best Company Blog 2019
"It is wonderful to receive the recognition for all the hard work that goes into creating a great blog. This award isn't just for me, it is for my small team and all of the fabulous contributors who produce posts for us. It's also for all the wonderful small businesses, designers and makers that we feature, as it's their stories that make our readers continue to visit the blog to find inspiration." - Caroline Rowland, Founding Editor.
Ellen Bliss Home, Best Use of Photography 2019
"We started Ellen Bliss Home as a labor of love on a mission to share beautiful, timeless, and attainable home décor. Taking good quality photographs is a very big part of that and one of my favorite things about creating interior décor content. I was able to attend the IBAs back in 2018 when we were shortlisted. The Amara team is amazing and organizes such great events, it was a lot of fun and I met wonderful people in the industry and made many contacts." - Ellen Bliss, Founder.
Mad About The House, Best Design Inspiration Blog 2015
"The blog has continued to grow year on year since it won in 2015 and it has gone on to win other awards as well. Of course they say it's all about the taking part rather than the winning but it does raise your visibility among brands and increase the number of opportunities that come along as more companies want to work with you. I have done lots of brand collaborations both for the blog and instagram as well as finishing off my third book since 2015. Winning the award, which led to the blog growing and therefore more work coming in has allowed the blog to keep going and, in turn, meant I can do other things like write books and my own Do Less Harm campaign." - Kate Watson-Smyth, Founder.
Warehouse Home, Best Company Blog 2018
"We were thrilled that Warehouse Home won the award for Best Company Blog at the Amara IBAs 2018. Shortly after winning our Amara award last year, we launched the Warehouse Home property company - an independent estate agency specialising exclusively in selling warehouse homes." - Sophie Bush, Founder.
Forward Features, Best Design Inspiration Blog 2016
"Since the awards we have been really lucky to work with a whole host of brands on some incredible projects. We've presented workshops, styled shoots and created content which we're really proud of. For us, the real boost came from being given a platform and having our blog recognised - it gave us the confidence to continue to push it further.” - David & Mark, Founders.
Little Big Bell, Best Colour Inspiration Blog 2014
"Since winning the IBA in 2014, I have had numerous amazing opportunities. I have worked on many paid brand campaigns both in the UK and internationally. I have made videos with brands, interviewed top designers, ran workshops, travelled extensively and been featured in the media both digitally and in magazines." - Geraldine Tan, Founder.
