Wedding List FAQs
When can I set up my wedding list?
Your wedding list can be set up straight away, just click "Create a wedding list" on the weddings page of the Amara website. Once the list is created you will have your own wedding account, from there you can easily browse through products and simply add them to your list.
Is there any charge for this service?
No, the service is absolutely free to use for both you and your guests. This includes the dedicated service of your personal wedding list coordinator, who is there to assist you every step of the way, and delivery of your gifts to anywhere in the UK mainland. We also supply wedding list notification inserts for you to send out with your invitations- letting all your guests know about your wedding list with Amara.
How long will it take to set up a list?
We have made the wedding list registration a quick and simple process. Once you have entered in your wedding details, you can begin to add items to your wedding list straight away. Remember you can always amend your wedding list at any stage after registration.
How many items should we add to the list?
In terms of the list size, bigger is always better! The more choice you offer your guests, the happier they will be. You will want to allow a selection of gifts for every wedding invitation that you’ll be sending out. For further advice please contact your personal wedding list coordinator at Amara.
I don’t know what I want to put on my wedding list - can somebody help me with this?
If you are struggling for inspiration your personal coordinator will be able to help guide you on the content of your wedding list. By visiting your wedding list, you will be able to view the Amara wedding homepage providing you with useful and inspiring suggestions on all our latest products.
How do I change my personal details?
If you need to make any changes to your personal details or fill in your preferences you may do so at any time while your wedding list is open. If you need any assistance please contact your coordinator.
Can we alter our list online?
You can alter and amend your wedding list contents at any time when open. This includes the ability to change item quantities and even removing items that have not been purchased already.
How do I inform my guests that I have created a wedding list at Amara?
To let your guests know about your wedding list, we supply wedding list notification inserts to send out with your wedding invitations. If you would like to request invitation inserts, please complete the relevant section in your wedding list preferences.
How do guests purchase our gifts?
Your guests can either visit www.amara.co.uk/weddings where they can search for your list by your wedding list number, or alternatively by searching your surname and wedding date. Our customer service team are always happy to help by telephone, live chat and email to make purchasing effortless and enjoyable.
Can guests purchase gift vouchers?
Yes, when you register for your wedding list, within the preferences section you are able to allow guests to purchase gift vouchers as well as items on your list. At Amara we believe this keeps your guests very happy with the extra choice of contributing to something special for you.
Do guests have to pay for delivery on items on my list?
Neither you nor your guests will pay for delivery on items on your wedding list. We aim to send everything together in one delivery so no matter what you put on your list; we’ll get it to you free of charge. You will be contacted by your wedding list coordinator near your wedding date to arrange a suitable delivery date for your gifts.
How am I notified of what has been bought for me?
Within your wedding list section, you will see the tab, “Gifts Purchased” to give you details of what items have been bought, by who and their gift message (if entered). While managing your list, you will see how many of items have been purchased with the quantity remaining left to be bought.
When will we receive our gifts?
You will be contacted by your wedding list concierge near your wedding date to arrange a suitable delivery date for your gifts.
What happens if I change my mind about items on my list?
You are able to make as many changes as you like to your list contents until an item is purchased as a gift for you. If you change your mind or want to exchange certain gifts for others, please contact your personal wedding list coordinator who will be able to help you with your request. We do not inform your guest of any exchanges made.
