Click and Collect FAQs

Amara’s Click & Collect service is operated by DPD Pickup.

 

DPD Pickup is available in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Luxembourg, Spain and the Netherlands.

 

DPD Pickup is a delivery service that allows you to pick up your parcel from a chosen collection point.

 

There are many DPD Pickup shops in the available countries; each country’s breakdown is in the table below.

There are however some undeliverable or restricted postcode areas, these areas can be found on our delivery page (https://www.amara.com/content/delivery). DPD Pickup is also not available in Ireland, the Channel Isles, Isle of Man or Isle of Wight.

 

The time it takes for your parcel to arrive at your chosen collection point will vary by country, please see the table below for the different transit times.

You’ll receive an email or text message with your Pickup pass (UK only) and details of your chosen Pickup shop, with the shop’s address and opening times.

 

The time your parcel will stay in the shop can vary by country, please see below for each country’s parcel holding times:

You will need to take your Pickup pass (UK only) and photographic ID (this is either a photo driving licence or passport). If you aren’t able to take your Pickup pass (UK only), either printed or on your smartphone, you’ll need two forms of ID: your passport or driving licence, and a utility bill. Please note if you are collecting your parcel outside of the UK you will not receive a Pickup pass and only need to take one form of photographic ID to collect your parcel.

 

Your Pickup pass is a snapshot of your parcel’s key information which you will receive via email or text when your parcel is ready to collect from your chosen Pickup shop. You must bring this with you to collect your parcel.

 

DPD Pickup shops require photographic ID to release your parcel. The following types of ID are not accepted: student ID, UK citizen’s ID, bus pass or work pass.

 

The following types of ID are accepted to release your parcel:

  • Passport
  • Photo driving licence

     

     

    Your parcel number will be in the email/text that you received when the parcel was despatched.

    Visit www.dpd.co.uk and enter your parcel number and your home postcode, from here you can click to download your Pickup pass.

     

    If the estimated delivery date has passed, contact our customer service team on 0800 587 7645, who will check whether your parcel has arrived at the Pickup point and advise accordingly.

     

    The shop will only release the parcel to someone with the same surname. They must have the Pickup pass (UK only) and their own photographic ID.

     

    Unfortunately there are not DPD Pickup points in these locations.

     

    A next day delivery by midday to your chosen DPD Pickup point costs £2.95.

     

    Some products are restricted and cannot be sent via Click & Collect, for these products you will not be able to select this option in the bag or at checkout.

     

    You will receive an email/text when the parcel is despatched. Simply click through the link to track your parcel.

     

    The opening times for your chosen shop will be shown when you select the shop at check-out. Your Pickup pass (UK only) and Pickup point delivery confirmation email will also show the store opening times.

     

    When you enter your postcode at check-out, your closest Pickup points will be shown.

     

    You will be asked to provide an alternative delivery address at check-out if you select the Click & Collect service. If for whatever reason your parcel can’t be delivered to your chosen Pickup point, delivery will be made to your alternative address and you will be contacted in advance before a delivery attempt is made.
