In a special collaboration with the Paris national Museum of natural History, Carrière Frères highlights the below plants that are unusual, exotic and packed with history.
Geranium
A fresh head note filled with grapefruit and hemp flowers; the head note that encapsulates the geranium’s beauty; and a base note featuring patchouli. Native to South Africa, the fragrant geranium is distinguished from the common geranium by its strong perfume. Although Pelargonium are flowering plants, it is their leaves that reveal a variety of fragrances ranging from floral to spicy and aromatic. Invigorating, the geranium is known for its purifying qualities. Its lemongrass notes can help repel mosquitoes.
Waterlily
After a vegetal yet subtle floral top note, the waterlily reveals fruity tones that are enriched by colourful and succulent notes. The fruit-filled and aquatic notes of the waterlily help to overcome sleep disorders, and to rest and relieve anxiety.
Frangipani
The frangipani is an enveloping, comforting and solar perfume: fresh head notes of bergamot are followed by a bouquet of white flowers enhanced with a touch of vanilla that calls for the tropics. Originating from Central America, frangipani is known for its fragrant and exotic flowers. The warm and solar notes are known for their relaxing effects, and helping to soothe anxiety, nervousness and insomnia.
