Michael Aram was intensely inspired by the rich metalworking traditions and the unnoticed craftsman during a trip to India. Using his skills as an American born metal artist, he set up a workshop in New Delhi, aiming to use his creative energies in craft design. Endeavoring to bridge the gap between artist and artisan, each piece is handmade using age-old techniques resulting in unique items to fit beautifully in both contemporary and classical interiors. Directed by the Hindi meaning of ‘Aram’, ‘gently with peace, love and care’, Michael Aram produces high quality work and stunning pieces for the home, making a personal statement and universal appeal.
