Weekend Wish List – 14th September

This week we have a rather special Weekend Wish List from Amara’s co-founders, Sam & Andrew Hood. As CEO & Managing Director of Amara, Sam & Andrew of course know what they are talking about when it comes to luxury style, here are their top picks for the weekend ahead…

Sam – CEO

1sam-hood-thumb-jpgFirst and foremost I would have to go for a Baobab Collection candle, as there is nothing better than a beautiful smelling home and these candles are some of the best in the industry. They are perfect for welcoming your guests and for creating a relaxed atmosphere, my favourite would have to be the Serengeti Plains fragrance, with notes of rose, bergamot & cedarwood.

With home fragrance sorted, I would then have to go for the Palazzo Pitti tableware range mixed in with Lizzard Platinum, both from the Roberto Cavalli Table Top Collection. I love entertaining and these sets combined looked elegant and graceful on any table. The finishing touch would be the Evoca nickel candle sticks from L’Objet which perfectly complement the tableware.

Andrew – Managing Director

2andrew-hood-thumb-jpgFor me the perfect way to spend an evening is sitting around a dinner table with friends and family. Sam will tell you that I’m not overly ambitious when it comes to preparing a menu. Give me a very rare, thick sirloin steak and a bottle of fine Californian red wine and I’m happy. There is no doubt that steak knives produced from the original forge in the small French village of Laguiole are the finest. Many companies the world over have attempted to copy this iconic brand, with little success.

No dinner party is complete without wine and there is no doubt that fine wine deserves the respect of a decanter. The Riedel Boa not only provides the perfect vessel, but also enhances the flavour and is a spectacular statement piece.

It looks like Sam & Andrew will be having an enviable weekend, we hope you do too!
