Say hello to Harriet!
This week we catch up with one of Amara’s newest members of the family Harriet Beckwith and get to know her a little better!
What were you doing before you joined Amara?
I was working as a marketing manager for an appliance importer, and before that I worked as a lifestyle writer putting together the fashion and beauty pages for a magazine. Working at Amara has allowed me to get into something creative again and I’m really enjoying it.
What is your role at Amara and what part of it do you enjoy the most?
I am a Social Media Executive and love the variety that the role brings. Whether it’s taking a cheeky boomerang, sharing gorgeous interior posts or coming up with content ideas, my day is always different.
Tell us something about you that might surprise us.
I use to be mad on football when I was little and even won a few trophies in my time!
What does your perfect weekend look like?
My perfect weekend would start with a lay in, followed by a long dog walk and then an Indian takeaway in front of a cheesy 80’s film! I love spas too, so unwinding on a spa day with a nice facial would be pretty dreamy.
If you had to, what department would you swap with for one day?
I’d swap with copywriting. I love reading all the inspiring content that they create and they’re always having really interesting discussions!
The great Amara divider; fat Coke or Diet Coke?
Fat coke all the way – I have a dangerous addiction to the stuff.
If you could visit any place in the world where would you go and why?
I am desperate to go to Sri Lanka as I love the culture and colourful landscapes. I’ve heard the food is pretty amazing too – which is the most important thing, right?
If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
Hmm, that’s a tough one. Time travel is a cliché, but it would mean I’d be able to go back and see certain bands live who aren’t around anymore.
