Perhaps it is just that time of year, or more likely the influence of the centenary Chelsea Flower Show at the end of May but we have noticed an influx of floral patterns & designs in the interiors world in recent weeks. Here are our favourite flowery picks…
Funky florals are Pip Studio’s forte, this khaki ribbon set of four bowls are in Beautiful Kitchens this month & are ideal for subtly incorporating this style onto your dinner table. Also available in pink & blue these bowls are perfect for combining calming pastel colours.
If you aren’t looking to change your interior, why not just refresh the bouquet of a room with this Geranium & Myrrh scented mini candle & diffuser set from Orla Kiely. Appearing on Fresh Design’s blog, this fabulous set is an easy way to bring the floral trend to your home without upheaving your existing décor.
The vibrant Vevey pouf by Missoni Home is currently featuring in Real Homes and is a bright addition to any room. With its handy leather carrying handle it can also be transported around your home & will add flower power to any room.
Florals needn’t be feminine with the more edgy Ete Fideles cushion by Jean Paul Gaultier. Appearing in Country Homes & Interiors, this cushion features a black & red foliage interspersed with birds print & is perfect for adding this style to your home if pastel or vibrant hues aren’t to your taste.
Monochrome patterns are another interesting take on this style, like the Ozzy bed linen range also from Missoni Home. Appearing in this month’s Grand Designs this range is understated in colour but with its busy print is certainly not lacking vitality.
