History
A family company, Bugatti was founded in 1923 in Lumezzane, Italy, producing cutlery and kitchen utensils. Initially Bugatti kitchenware was handmade, before they introduced the first die-casting machine to the Bugatti factory in 1926. Incredibly forward thinking and technologically minded, the Bugatti brothers developed a new brass alloy called ‘Lega Bugatti' two years later.
In 1930 the company had started the first chromate brass cutlery production in Italy, and by the end of the 1940’s products were being sold from Europe to the USA as Bugatti was becoming an internationally respected brand. Today, the company serves an international customer base and in 1999 introduced itself under a new name ‘Casa Bugatti,' a kitchenware brand that is continually growing worldwide.
