My preference for the entrance is the Zagara diffuser from Ortigia, you can just pop in the reeds and let it work its magic. It has quite an exotic scent that makes a memorable first impression.

I believe our sitting room should be a tranquil escape from everyday life. The Keith Haring candle from Ligne Blanche is a work of art in its own right and the combination of bergamot and orange blossom is wonderfully calm yet uplifting.

It can be tricky to fragrance a dining room. I like something rich such as Preen’s Odette candle. Not only does it have a beautiful design, the subtle fragrance of pomegranate and pink pepper doesn’t overwhelm.

Like a bouquet of freshly cut flowers, I find the uplifting scent of Jo Malone’s Red Roses great in my study.

I always think you can get away with something a little more indulgent in the bedroom and love the incense-heavy scents of Bella Freud’s 1970 candle, plus, the design is as iconic as her famed jumpers.
