Susie Watson Designs has grown from a gallery in Notting Hill to become an unusual and successful design business. They produce beautiful quality, handmade pottery products that can be used every day and brighten up your home. Their dreamy range of handmade pottery is perfect for weddings, anniversaries even christenings. All of products from Susie Watson Designs are made by humans, not machines so small imperfections can happen and are part of the handmade charm. The Susie Watson philosophy is that using beautiful things everyday can be a source of unexpected pleasure.
Susie Watson pottery is entirely handmade using traditional studio techniques. Finding a factory both capable and willing to manufacture in this way was an almost impossible mission. It was a combination of tenacity and luck that eventually brought Susie Watson to their current factory in Sri Lanka. Despite her factory workers exceptional skills it was a steep learning curve for them and the beautiful quality pottery they now produce is a tribute to their complete dedication to perfection.
It is impossible to imagine the time and skill that goes into making every piece of pottery. Each piece is a work of art in itself and is initialled by the girl who painted it. It is not enough for Susie Watson to design beautiful products, it is important that the people who make them work in a safe and happy environment where they are treated with respect. Susie Watson herself is a constant visitor to the factory as she does all of her organisation there working closely with the people who make her pottery.
Susie Watson Designs believe absolutely in fair trade and strive to produce products at a price which is fair to both the manufacturer and the customer.
