Sticking with tradition is often a foolproof route to take. Something as simple as lighting the Christmas pud can be enough to make some people’s night complete. Missing out important festive elements may be what your party is remembered for, so be sure that you cover all of the bases.

As your guests enjoy themselves, make sure there is plenty of small snacks available for them to browse. Walnuts, chestnuts, fruit, cheese, grapes and wine are all well received, along with warm sausage rolls, small squares of Christmas cake, cold meats and festive drinks such as eggnog.

Aegean – L’Objet

When it comes to porcelain pieces by L’Objet, each one is made from fine Limoges porcelain which is fairly easy to care for. Many of their collections (including Aegean white & Perlee white) are safe to use in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. However, pieces with hand-applied 24 carat gold or platinum are not suitable for the microwave and nickel-plated products are reactive with certain acidic foods, which may cause discolouration.

Aegean – L’Objet

Although it’s possible to wash L’Objet porcelain in the dishwasher, it’s best to do it by hand to preserve the textures and finishes, so use a mild soap or detergent and hand dry with a soft dish towel. When washing your porcelain in the dishwasher, it is advised to use a gentle cycle. Citrus soaps & detergents and cleaning agents with additives may damage your pieces, so avoid them for the best results.

L’Objet – Candles

In regards to porcelain candle holders, wiping them gently with a soft, damp cloth is all that is needed in order to preserve the 14 carat gold accents. Decorative treasures, they are wonderful to keep on display even when the candle has burned down or is no longer wanted. In order to remove the candle easily, simply place it into a freezer until the wax has fully hardened, then slip it from its holder. Rinse the holder beneath hot running water to dissolve any wax left behind.

L’Objet – Photo Frames

L’Objet photo frames are easily cared for, despite their detailed designs- each one is plated in either 14 carat gold or platinum and decorated with Swarovski crystals. No polishing is necessary, and every day dust and dirt can be carefully removed with a soft, damp cloth.

Lastly, the handles of many L’Objet serving pieces are hand sculpted and as a result hand washing is recommended for these particular pieces. Dry them manually with a soft dish towel and enjoy.
